I have a used 60" King Kutter finish mower, with a manual. The lower 3pt linkage looks strange. There is a short link on each side that sticks forward and connects to the main lift frame hardware. I understand it's to let the mower float. But the short links angle out to the outside of the link frame. It looks like the pins should be put to the inside so the short links could stick straight ahead instead of being held out at such an angle. The manual does not really show anything on this. Anyone else, are yours the same as mine?Thanks,-Don M

Don,
My KK mower looks the same as you have described yours. I believe that you could turn the pins in and put the 3ph arms on the inside depending on the width of your 3ph. I believe that on my TC29 it could go either way; I may play with the set-up the next pretty day.
I've mowed about 4 hours with my 5' KK so far and really like it. It moves side to side more than I thought it would, but really isn't a problem.
I'll e-mail you when I get around to playing with this.

Bill,
Thanks, let me know.
My 3 pt attachment is fine as is, on the outside. It's their own short link that I considered moving to the inside. But, if yours is already moving side to side too much, I think that reversing the factory setup will aggravate it.
Maybe that is their low-tech way of minimizing the side movement. At least I know that mine is the same as somebody else's. Thanks.

Don, I've looked at my mower today and understand what you were saying in your original post. I don't believe that moving the short links to the inside of the lift frame is possible; I think that they would foul against the bracket on the mower that they are pinned through. I do believe that the steep angle of the short pins is what limits movement of the mower side to side.
I look at it more tomorrow; I need put the mower back on in the morning anyway.
Later,
Bill ....
